If you’re reading this, you might be personally acquainted with menopause-related symptoms: hot flashes, disrupted sleep, depression, anxiety, and more. These symptoms can significantly affect one’s day-to-day life. In recent years, cannabis has been emerging as a potential aid to relieve menopause symptoms. A brand new study has explored the experience of over two hundred people using cannabis to alleviate their menopause symptoms.
Of the participants, the two symptoms most were using cannabis to address were sleep disturbance and anxiety. Here at Rebalan, low dose cannabis for stress and sleep is our bread and butter, so we’re glad to see further research on this.
The most common methods of administration used by those in this study were smoking and edibles. We are generally supportive of edibles due to the precise dosing they offer in comparison to smoking. Unfortunately, this study did not examine the dosage for each participant, which is extremely important when consuming cannabis.
While further research is needed, this study indicates that most of these participants recommend cannabis to aid in menopause symptoms and suggests that it could be a natural alternative to consider. One of the most important things to keep in mind, however, is the dosage.
If you’re considering trying cannabis to help with menopause-related symptoms, be careful to pay attention to the dose you consume. You can read some insights to low dose cannabis dosing for beginners here.
